Six current and former members of the U.S. Senate’s Bipartisan Finance Committee released a comprehensive report on Jan. 31, 2013, outlining recommendations from more than 160 stakeholders in the healthcare community on ways to improve federal efforts to combat waste, fraud and abuse in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Among those submitting recommendations were a number of RACmonitor readers who responded to a request from healthcare attorney Andrew Wachler, principal of Wachler and Associates. Wachler, a contributing editor to RACmonitor and a frequent panelist on Monitor Monday, took the recommendations from the RACmonitor contingent and forwarded them to CMS’ Kimberly Brandt. You can see the final report here. More details to follow.
