On Monday’s Monitor Monday broadcast, we’re saluting America’s Critical Access Hospitals. One of the featured hospitals is Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. The hospital’s CFO David Muhs, reports that his facility has made Hospital & Health Networks “most wired” list for six years in a row. Muhs reports that his is the only CAH to receive HFMA’s High Performance Revenue Cycle award in 2009 and the first CAH in the nation to qualify for stage 1 of CMS meaningful use. Muhs also notes that they received the 2012 top 100 hospital choice award by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers.
