American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer Deborah K. Green will head a team of subject matter experts signed on to report live from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s (HIMSS) annual conference and exhibit in Orlando, Fla. later this month.
Green, who has had a long career in health information and IT leadership, will join 24 other healthcare professionals broadcasting on behalf of Talk-Ten-Tuesday during the conference, which begins Feb. 23. The three-day series of broadcasts will begin with a special Monday edition of the popular Internet radio broadcast airing live at 11 a.m. EST on Feb. 24.
“We are scheduled to have eight healthcare subject matter experts reporting live from HIMSS each of the three days of broadcasts,” executive producer and program host Chuck Buck said. “We’re going all out for this series since this is the last HIMSS before ICD-10 takes effect Oct. 1, 2014.”
Also participating each day will be Pamela Jodock, senior director of HIMSS Health Business Solutions, according to Buck. Jodock will kick off each broadcast with highlights of the previous day and will preview important ICD-10 events taking place during the week.
